AMD confirms Zen 4 Ryzen CPUs and RDNA 3 Radeon GPUs to launch in 2022

A bevy of sites are reporting one of the significant takeaways of AMD’s Q2 2021 investors call, namely that their next-gen architectures for both CPUs and GPUs, Zen 4 and RDNA 3 respectively, are set for a 2022 launch.

In the call, Dr. Lisa Su, AMD’s CEO, mentioned that their Zen 4 processors will be built with 5nm process technology. Additionally, the Radeon RX 7000 line of GPUs will become the first to feature MCMs (Multi-Chip Modules) which have featured heavily in the Zen-based CPU designs and have been credited with helping AMD to move their performance past Intel swiftly.

Meanwhile, several outlets focused on news that was leaked about one of the upcoming RDNA 3-based GPUs, namely, the Radeon RX 7900 XT, which we’ve already briefly covered before.
